“Basics to Specifics” Workshop Held

The “Basics to Specifics” workshop, hosted by the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, was held on 24 October 2026 at the Multi-Purpose Hall in Block D of Izmir University of Economics.

Led by sports physiotherapist, UEFA physiotherapist and fitness coach Roman Jahoda, the workshop covered sports therapy, exercise therapy, injury prevention, rehabilitation and performance enhancement through both theoretical content and hands-on practice. Particular emphasis was placed on core stabilisation and muscular balance exercises, delivered through practical sessions with active participation from attendees.

The event brought together physiotherapists, coaches, rehabilitation specialists, sports physicians, and physiotherapy and sports sciences students, with strong participation from our department’s students. Participants had the opportunity to experience current approaches to clinical situations encountered in the field through practical sessions.
