Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation undergraduate education includes courses on basic medical sciences (Anatomy, Physiology, etc.), compulsory theoretical and applied for courses, and elective courses. Physical therapy and rehabilitation; It has many sub-fields such as Geriatric Rehabilitation, Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation, Neurological Rehabilitation, Orthopedic Rehabilitation, Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, Prosthesis-Orthotics and Rehabilitation.
Physiotherapists can work in sports clubs, inpatient treatment centers, elderly care and rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, special education and rehabilitation centers, wellness centers that they can establish themselves, work areas related to body posture and ergonomics, home health systems and primary health care institutions. They can also earn the title of specialist physiotherapist by completing a master's degree, and they can also work as academicians at universities by pursuing an academic career.
Physical Therapists are physicians who specialize in physical medicine and rehabilitation after graduating from medical school. Physical Therapy Technicians are health technicians who graduate from 2-year associate degree programs and assist physiotherapists. Physical Therapists, Physical Therapy Technicians and Physiotherapists are professions that work together.
The master's degree is an optional education and enables people to obtain a specialist degree in one of the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation sub-fields and the title of 'Specialist Physiotherapist'.
Many universities offer postgraduate programs in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. These programs are generally announced on the university's own websites twice a year, before each fall and spring semester. In order to apply to these programs, you must have received a certain score from the ALES exam administered by ÖSYM, as well as scores from English proficiency exams such as YÖKDİL, YDS, TOEFL, etc. that meet the application requirements of the university you are targeting (although the scores and application requirements vary from university to university, the undergraduate graduation grade, ALES grade, and English grade are taken into consideration).

There is an optional 1-year English preparatory program in the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation department. Advanced courses in English can be taken for 4 years. In addition, there is an optional intensive clinical German course for grades 3 and 4 at the faculty of health sciences. Students who attend the preparatory class and want to learn a second foreign language can take the courses offered by the School of Foreign Languages as electives.
