Course Objectives The aim of this course is to teach; basic physiological concepts, the biochemical basis of vitality, features of macromolecules, structural and functional organization of the body, cel-organ-system relations, functions of the cell organels, histological features of the tissues, structure and function of the musculoskeletal system.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • define the biochemical basis of vitality, features of macromolecules.
  • list the cell organels and their functions.
  • explain the molecular basis of intercellular communication.
  • describe the molecular and ionic basis of bioelectrical potentials
  • list the histological features of the tissues.
  • define the microscopic structure and function of the muscles
  • explain the mechanism of contraction and excitation-contraction coupling
  • list the muscle receptors and their functions.
Course Description This course covers basis of vitality, basic concepts, organization of the body, cell, features of tissues, signal transduction, bioelectric potentials and excitation- contraction coupling.
