Course Objectives The aim of the course is to comprehend the pathologies that cause cardiopulmonary system disorders, the definition of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, evaluation of cardiopulmonary system diseases in terms of physiotherapy-rehabilitation, its basic principles, aims, planning and application techniques.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Describe the clinical features and pathophysiology of cardiopulmonary diseases;
  • Describe the definition, scope, importance and application forms of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation;
  • Evaluate patients with cardiopulmonary problems in terms of physical, physiological and functional aspects;
  • Plan and apply physiotherapy and rehabilitation approaches in patients with cardiopulmonary problems;
  • Analyze risk factors in people with cardiopulmonary risk;
  • Apply patient education and behavior modification in people with cardiopulmonary risk.
Course Description This course covers; major heart diseases, evaluation in cardiac rehabilitation, exercise tests used in cardiovascular diseases, phase I-II-III-IV cardiac rehabilitation programs, rehabilitation in peripheral vascular diseases, evaluation methods in pulmonary rehabilitation, and respiratory physiotherapy applications.
