Course Objectives Aim of the course is to enable students to comprehend the importance of scientific research, to make basic statistical analysis, to evaluate research studies critically and to know the basic concepts and methods in epidemiology.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • comprehend the place and importance of research in physiotherapy;
  • evaluate the research article critically in line with the basic principles;
  • define ethical principles in research;
  • analyze research data at a basic level;
  • create statistical summary graphs and tables;
  • interpret the findings obtained as a result of the analysis;
  • define epidemiology and its basic concepts;
  • evaluate where, when and how to use epidemiological methods.
Course Description This course covers the importance of research, the steps of the research process, research and ethical issues, and basic concepts related to biostatistics.
