Course Objectives At the end of this course, students are aimed to integrate the current evidence-based theoretical knowledge gained in the fields of orthopedic, neurological and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation into clinical practice by considering clinical ethics and interdisciplinary working principles, and the standards of patient safety and health quality.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • present practices in orthopedic rehabilitation patients by performing the necessary evaluation and treatment;
  • present practices in neurological rehabilitation patients by performing the necessary evaluation and treatment;
  • present practices in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation patients by performing the necessary evaluation and treatment;
  • demonstrate autonomy, cooperation, and effective working and management skills independently and within the healthcare team;
  • perform physiotherapy and rehabilitation practices within the framework of quality in health, patient and occupational safety principles, professional deontology and ethical principles;
  • demonstrate the ability to record and archive patient information, evaluation and treatment reports;
  • apply evidence-based methods in clinical decision-making;
  • transfer information by communicating effectively with individuals/groups with different socio-cultural structure, education, age and disability level.
Course Description This course covers presentations and discussions of clinical practice and case studies to be conducted by considering basic professional knowledge, quality and ethical principles in health in the field of orthopedic, neurological and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation.
