Course Objectives This course aims to enable students to gain the knowledge of vestibular system and balance physiopathology, clinical decision-making skills on evaluation and treatment approaches.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • explain the functions of vestibular and balance system;
  • define the etiology of vestibular system diseases;
  • define evaluation methods in vestibular system diseases;
  • explain treatment methods in vestibular system diseases;
  • decide the correct evaluation and treatment approaches according to etiology in vestibular system diseases.
Course Description This course covers the anatomy and physiology of the vestibular system, adaptation and compensation, the role of the vestibular system in postural control, and evaluation and treatment approaches in vestibular problems.
