Course Objectives The aim is to inform students about evaluation and appropriate physiotherapy approaches in the subjects that the physiotherapist plays a role in women's and men's health.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • compare male and female urogenital anatomy and physiology differences;
  • explain physiotherapy and rehabilitation approaches suitable for pelvic floor problems such as urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, sexual dysfunction;
  • explain exercises in antenatal and postnatal period;
  • describe physiotherapy and rehabilitation methods in lymphedema;
  • discuss physiotherapy and rehabilitation methods after pelvic surgery for men and women.
Course Description This course includes the definition and classification of the problems covered by physiotherapy in women's and men's health, preventive approaches, selection of different physiotherapy approaches that can be applied and the application principles of these approaches.
