| Course Objectives | At the end of this course the students are aimed to learn factors that affect health; the basic concepts of health and health promotion; the knowledge and skills necessary for the improvement of the health of the individual, family and society; the importance of the health protection and health promotion; the responsibilities of the health professionals in this regard, preventive practices. |

| Course Description | This course includes health related concepts, the dimensions of health, conditions and risk factors affecting health, health protection and promotion and the role of the health professionals, healthy lifestyle behaviors, quality of life, holistic health, theories and models of health and health promotion, national and international health organizations, health promotion policies and strategies, development of health behaviors in society and health education. |
